FICHET Invited to Attend the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2025, Showcasing Taiwan's Higher Education Strength

The Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education of Taiwan (FICHET) is pleased to announce its invitation to participate in the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2025, which will be held in Seoul, South Korea, from November 4 to 6, 2025.The QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific is one of the most influential higher education events in the region, attracting thousands of global educational leaders, government officials, and industry experts annually to discuss higher education trends and establish collaborative networks. The theme for this year's summit is “Advancing Generational Potential,” focusing on critical issues such as future talent skills and interdisciplinary cooperation. FICHET will represent Taiwan's higher education sector by participating in a Presidential-level Roundtable Forum with international counterparts, sharing Taiwan's experiences in academic research, Mandarin teaching and learning, and the cultivation of international talent.
Professor Tzu-Bin Lin, Executive Director of FICHET, will serve as a panelist during the summit on a session themed “Building a Sustainable Asian Community through Education.” He will join speakers from Hong Kong Baptist University and Korea University to shape the discourse on sustainable education. Through cross-national academic cooperation and international exchange programs, FICHET aims to cultivate the next generation of talent equipped with a global perspective and committed to environmental and social sustainability, thereby demonstrating Taiwan’s crucial role in higher education social responsibility and regional connectivity.
Professor Lin stated: “We are deeply honored to be invited to the QS Asia Pacific Summit 2025. This is not only an honor for FICHET but also a recognition of the resilience and innovative capacity Taiwan’s higher education has demonstrated in the face of global challenges. We will seize this opportunity to showcase Taiwan’s quality learning environment, leading technological research and development, and abundant teaching and research resources to the international community, further expanding deep cooperation between Taiwan and higher education institutions across the Asia-Pacific and the world.”
QS Announces 2026 Asia and Sustainability Rankings at the summit
During the summit, QS announced the results for the 2026 Asia University Rankings and Sustainability Rankings.
In the 2026 QS Asia University Rankings, a total of 57 Taiwanese universities were selected. The top performers include:

Through participation in high-level education leadership forums and roundtables, FICHET aims to:

- Deepen Regional Partnerships by strengthening cooperation with universities and organizations in the Asia-Pacific region and internationally, creating more opportunities for international exchange and research for Taiwanese higher education.
- Master the Latest International Higher Education Trends by bringing back forward-looking strategies and best practices to assist Taiwanese universities in their continuous improvement and further success.
