Facing the impact of internationalization and globalization, FICHET has actively expanded Taiwan’s higher education exchange and cooperation programs by accumulating and strengthening bilateral ties with specific regions or countries, including establishing and deepening the exchange programs, dual-degree programs, academic cooperation, and exchange opportunities between Taiwanese universities and overseas, seek to promote the internationalization of Taiwanese universities and colleges and to act as a bridge/platform for international cooperation, allowing the world to see the advantages of Taiwan’s higher education and learning environment and provide Taiwan’s universities and colleges with practical opportunities for external collaboration.

2025 Taiwan-U.S. International Education Administrators (IEA) Roundtable Networking Strengthening Exchanges and Expanding Higher Education Cooperation

2025 Taiwan-U.S. International Education Administrators (IEA) Roundtable Networking was held on March 14 at Taipei New Horizon. Hosted by the FICHET and the Foundation for Scholarly Exchange (Fulbright Taiwan), the event brought together nearly 70 representatives from 40 Taiwanese universities and 16 U.S. universities to explore the future of bilateral educational and academic research collaboration, further fostering Taiwan-U.S. higher education partnerships.

Fruitful Results from the 2024 Taiwan-U.S. International Education Administrators (IEA) Roundtable Networking

Deepening educational cooperation between Taiwan and the U.S., the "2024 Taiwan-U.S. International Education Administrators (IEA) Roundtable Networking" took place on March 22nd at the Center for Public and Business Administration Education, National Chengchi University. Co-organized by the Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education of Taiwan (FICHET) and Foundation for Scholarly Exchange (Fulbright Taiwan), the event brought together representatives from 25 universities in Taiwan and 14 universities in the United States, with nearly 50 delegates to explore bilateral cooperation.

2023 Taiwan-Japan University Presidents’ Forum: Fostering Next-Gen Talent and Building Bridges in Higher Education

The 2023 Taiwan-Japan University Presidents’ Forum, themed “Fostering Next-gen Talent: The Capacity-building Roadmap for Higher Education,” took place at National Chi Nan University on July 25. Approximately 130 participants from nearly 80 higher education institutions in Taiwan and Japan discussed fostering technology talents and interdisciplinary research collaborations.
