FICHET Joins Forces with Higher Education Partner BMI to Recruit Top Students, Deeply Aligned with Vietnam's Study Abroad Advantages in Taiwan

2025-10-17
The Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education of Taiwan (FICHET) announced its partnership with BMI Globaled (BMI), part of the Times Higher Education (THE) Group, and a global expert in higher education consultation and recruitment. Together, they will promote the "Study in Taiwan" brand image. FICHET is set to participate in the BMI International Education Fair to be held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from October 15 to 19, 2025.The collaboration aims to precisely recruit international high-achieving students, whom BMI defines as "5-Star" students. This strategic effort seeks to expand Taiwan's international talent acquisition and exchange in key fields such as semiconductors, global finance, medicine, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
Establishing a Partnership Model: Attracting Vietnam's Elite Students with Multiple Advantages
FICHET aims to more effectively present Taiwan's academic strengths to the target audience by partnering with BMI, which specializes in high-quality student recruitment. BMI's "5-Star" students are elite individuals who seek academic excellence and international advanced study opportunities.
At the education fair, FICHET will emphasize four core advantages for Vietnamese students choosing Taiwan's higher education:
- High-Quality Higher Education: Taiwan's academic institutions are highly recognized internationally, offering diverse and globally competitive degree programs and training.
- Top-Tier Research Fields: Significant research achievements, particularly in semiconductors, medicine, global finance, STEM, and Mandarin Chinese language teaching, provide students with access to world-class faculty and curriculum opportunities.
- Friendly Living Environment: Taiwan offers excellent public safety, convenient living, and relatively competitive tuition and living costs compared to other international study destinations.
- Cultural and Language Advantages: Taiwan and Vietnam share many commonalities in their Asian cultural background, allowing students to adapt more quickly. Furthermore, Taiwan's 66 Mandarin Chinese language centers offer a superior environment for language learning, helping international students build a solid linguistic foundation to enhance their academic competitiveness and future career prospects.
The foundation is currently participating in the BMI High School Visit Day event, making on-site promotions at three high schools in Hanoi: Archimedes Academy, SenTia School, and Wellspring International Bilingual Schools. This is intended to better understand the key demands and considerations of excellent international students seeking overseas study, and to discuss potential opportunities for exchange and international cooperation at the high school level.
FICHET Executive Director Dr. Lin Tzu-Bin stated, "Taiwan's top-tier research capabilities and high cultural inclusivity make it one of the ideal choices for our top students looking to study in Asia. We highly value this joint promotion with BMI, which also allows international students to understand that Taiwan is a culturally friendly and convenient learning environment."
Vietnam has consistently been a leading source country for international students coming to Taiwan over the past decade, demonstrating vibrant exchange with Taiwan in both quantity and quality. Through this collaborative promotion, FICHET aims to deepen cooperation in the higher education sector between Taiwan and Vietnam and target the exchange and cultivation of high-quality talent from both sides.
