On November 4, at the Tamkang University Taipei Campus, the Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education Taiwan (FICHET) will hold a full-day seminar designed to help college and university international affairs personnel enhance their knowledge and skills for counseling overseas students and to promote the exchange of professional experience.

The morning session will start with a presentation by Lien Yu-Ju, a clinical psychologist from the Bethel Psychiatric Clinic. Ms. Lien called on her deep experience in providing psychological support to college and university communities to explain best practices for the provision of physical and mental health counseling for overseas students and emergency response. Representatives from the International Affairs Offices of Pingtung University of Science and Technology, National Chengchi University, and Kaohsiung Medical University will share their experiences in establishing effective models for campus-wide counseling coordination. The afternoon keynote will be delivered by Professor Chun-Liang Yeh, speaking on the establishment of effective overseas student counseling support systems at colleges and universities.
