1. On April 14, at the Tamkang University Taipei Campus, the Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education Taiwan (FICHET) will be organizing a full-day seminar on "Cross-Cultural Communication in International Cooperation & Conferences" for the international affairs personnel of universities and colleges.

2. The morning session of the seminar will begin with a keynote speech by Mr. Ralph Rogers, Director Taiwan of the British Council, who will provide an in-depth analysis of the role of internationalization strategies in higher education, as well as the essential knowledge needed to deepen cross-border cooperation. For the second session, Mr. Steven Tai, Minister on Home Assignment of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will be invited to share his expertise on Asia international relations and using Singapore as a case study to explore the country's culture, diplomacy, and policies. In the afternoon, Dr. Tze-Wei Chen, Associate Professor from the Graduate Institute of Translation and Interpretation at National Taiwan Normal University will share his practical experiences in international conferences, analyzing professional English language skills & sensitivity, and the values and principles of cross-cultural communication. 3. This event is open for online registration from today until March 21st (Tuesday), with a limit of 100 participants. Each university is limited to 2 participants, and registration will be closed once the quota is full. Representatives of FICHET Member Universities for 2023 enjoy a registration discount.
