To further improve the quality and effectiveness of cross-cultural exchange between university international administrators and foreign guests and VIPS, FICHET will organize a full-day seminar on April 23, 2022 (Friday), from 9:30-16:30 at SPOT – Taipei Film House.

The theme of the seminar is “Cross Cultural Communication and Dining Etiquette. The morning address will be given by Prof. Darla K. Deardorff, CEO of the Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA), discussing the current status and future directions of international cooperation in higher education in countries affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and will also touch on the importance of cultivating cross-cultural communications skills among administrators at this critical time. The afternoon session will be delivered in Chinese by Mr. Wang Peng, Honorary Knight of the Belgian Brewers Association and education consultant to the Taiwan Sommelier' Association, to discuss differences between Eastern and Western drinking cultures and to present practical instruction on international wine tasting etiquette.

Attendance is limited to 30 people, with a limit of one representative per school. Registration priority and discounts are available to universities and colleges that provided financial support to FICHET in 2021.
