Held June 27th at I-Shou University, the Higher Education Collaboration Across Asia-Pacific conference is an annual platform designed to help international affairs directors share their experiences. Mr. Anthony Johnson, Chairman of the Global Internship Conference delivered a keynote on “Global Internships – Past, Present and Future!” outlining trends and future developments. The theme of the conference was “Cross-Border Cooperation in Higher Education”, and brought together representatives from Taiwan schools including National Taiwan University, National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, and National Chi Nan University, along with Japan’s University of Tuskuba, Kasetart University and Vietnam National Unviersity - Ho Chi Minh City.This year’s conference featured “World Café” discussion sessions with topics including “International Student Counseling”, “Chinese Language Learning for International Students”, “English-taught programs”, and “University Branding”, providing opportunities for attendees to gain insights from representatives from various schools and foreign dignitaries, and to enhance mutual understanding. The conference was an important event for furthering international exchange, giving international affairs deans from Taiwan schools a valuable chance to interact and learn from their foreign counterparts.
